What “News Feed” is in Facebook is “Stream” in Google Plus. All the latest updates by those who are in your circle are displayed in front of you at your homepage in the form of Streams and all the updates made by you are displayed in the homepage of those who have added you to their circles.
Like Facebook, Google Plus also provides a lot of privacy control features and one of them is to share stream with people with only whom you want. As when you post status updates in Facebook you get a Privacy Lock with the use of which you can define with whom you are comfortable in sharing those update.
Same is the case in Google Plus but with one advantage that you are allowed to share these updates with many people at once and without the effort of creating those lists and groups. Here is how you do it:-
Log into your Google Plus account - In the update box write whatever you want to update
Click +Add Circles or people to share with link
Choose the circles with whom you want to share your update and click Share.
Note:- You can also share these updates with specific people by typing their email addresses. Plus you can also share with everyone by selecting Public Circle.
